I can't say about the effectiveness but it is useful for puppies and dogs.I used it for 8 stray puppies who were weaning off their mother. They are now growing to be healthy and strong so I guess this product did its part although giving all the credit to this product would be unfair.I used to mix it with water and milk and give it to the puppies. All 8 of them ate it without any fuss.I would add here that for a vegetarian product, there does seem a smell that's a bit off (but not insufferable).Glad I bought it and used it for the pups at a crucial stage. Despite being strays they are healthy today and that alone is heartening.
