I get about 4,000 miles of road riding from a set of these pads. For the cost, they are sufficient for nearly all of my uses. However, for a lot of long/steep descents, these may not provide enough stopping grip. If you are planning a ride or do a lot of very steep hills, then you may want to invest in slightly better pads with better material.
