The first several units would be on twelve hours a day and would only need to recharge every seven - ten days. But the last few years I've noticed a definite slip in the qualitycontrol: of the four units I just bought, and the one I've opened has QC issues such as noise in the earpiece, problems charging and reduced standby/talk time and the unit will shut itself off w/o warning. Would love to be able to recommend this item because when it works it is fabulous.
