There's no distortion in the lenses and it seems they should last awhile. I got these for my wife who has been told she has to keep sunglasses on any time she's outdoors. She has both a prescription glasses and sunglasses, which she will wear when she can. But there are times when swapping them out can just be inconvenient, so she will just put these on over the top of her regular sunglasses. She probably does that once or twice a week, and wear them for the better part of a day without any problems or discomfort.Some models look kind of dorky when doing that, but these look decent.
