Just make sure you allow the base to thoroughly dry before putting the base on the snow or using the gear where Zardoz has been applied. **Q: Will you see a visible film over the entire base of each ski when applying?** A: If your ski/snowboard baseis standard black and you clean them with base cleaner then yes you can see after applying there is a thin film on top of the base. If your bases are of any other color it might be difficult to tell.It works well in my case. **Q: Can this be wiped on at the top of the mountain before a run (air temp ~50 degrees)?** A: If you are talking -50 degrees Fahrenheit, the snow would be very dry. For this product to be highly effective you will need snow that has high moisture.
