I have a breezeway between my garage and my house that I have turned in to my "garden room" that this bench fits in perfectly. The area is completely covered so the bench will not be in direct contact with sunlight or rain, but it is still outdoors. I did use a spray on wood sealant because I want it to last a long time. I do use it for gardening (potting small houseplants - nothing major), but I also use it to display plants and other fun garden décor. It is real wood, but it is fairly lightweight. If you're doing a lot of gardening and it is exposed to the elements 24/7, it may not last as long or be as sturdy for you. My husband put it together on his own in about an hour or so. No issues assembling it that he mentioned. I love the look that it gives my little "garden room". Just the finishing touch I needed! I would recommend it and I would buy it again! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Potting Bench Counter Top arrived already cracked in 2 spots *by A***I on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2020* Unfortunately, the Potting Bench came with the counter top part already having 2 big cracks in the wood. My husband made it work and we will have to fix this more but it really is not good quality at all. Very thin flimsy wood material. There are no good instructions on how to put this together. Most people will struggle putting this together. You will need tools. My husband is a builder and is very handy but he even got frustrated with it. This is supposed to be dark brown but the paint/stain is black. We really needed this item for our Camp and are unfortunately disappointed. We feel that we paid to much for the low quality of this Potting Bench. We were unable to assemble this properly. The wood kept splitting and would splinter. Looks awful. Waste of $119.00 . They should issue a refund to us.
