I bought this on the basis that I wanted cordless but did not want a petrol driven Strimmer which are in general heavier and obviously need petrol. This is much cleaner and safer - the weight is good, especially once you have the hand grip - adjustable on the mid part of the handle can be slid up or down. This is useful for a persons height - but also my garden has large banks of grass, steep in places - ie you cannot walk or climb up them, this allowed me to alter the grip handle and the shoulder strap easily when I wanted to do normal flat strimming - or angled while on top of the bank.I bought the 4ah battery (not the 2ah) as I know I needed maximum time - its a big area of grass surrounding the house, bordered by trees and hedges. The battery (new) on full charge lasted approximately 55 mins each time. The charging time though is just under 3 hours from empty to full.An hour of this would be more than ample for most houses - even with front and back lawns/grass areas. There is a fast charger which apparently charges in just over an hour - I might consider this, but will see - as its another expenseI am adding this review specifically prompted by the following point, and to help other users - I could not work out how to change the line. The book says press 2 buttons like most strimmer's - but there are no buttons! Or obvious points to press. However - I rang the Supplier who were excellent - and now know the following:When looking at the head of the strimmer (obviously with the battery removed) - rotate it so the line feed holes are at 12 and 6 O'clock as on a clock face (Does not have to be in this position - just easier to explain first time). This will position at 3 and 9 O'clock - the two 'Buttons' - which are not visible buttons, but actually a thumb shaped gap/curve in the outer head plastic. Just press directly on these two places - nearest the outer head, at the same time - the outer head pops off. Really easy once you know how.I felt daft but glad I just asked :O)I have not used the blade yet - but will need to soon.I was so impressed with this - I have bought another battery and charger (and also have the pruner/chainsaw not used yet but looking forward to it) - yes its that big a blummin garden, 1 battery equals rake up time and break while the other is available to continue - but enjoying doing my own maintenance on it without petrol involved, less weight and much quieter, though I still wear a forestry helmet with ear defenders and mesh visorNo chord to worry about is brilliant - especially as I am colour blind and struggle to see orange on green!

Excellent brushcutter with a couple of provisos

*by A***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 May 2016*

The brushcutter works really well, the spool deals with large weeds very efficiently. However, the assembly instructions could be clearer with larger illustrations, especially when changing the spool head for the blade. The strimmer line was very badly wound, but at least the spool cover is easy to remove. Overall I would recommend this product, especially for people who would find it difficult to start petrol equipment.

    It's a heavy beast

*by P***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2019*

Very heavy with battery fitted (expected). The shoulder strap does dig in after a while, so I replaced with a harness which makes it more comfortable. Haven't tried the cutting line, but the metal cutting blade certainly does the job.
