Once you take those old ones off, the liftgate gets significantly heavier. Once you slap these new ones on, it almost feels hard to get the liftgate down. It's stiff for a few weeks, but as you use it, that stiffness smooths out. A year after purchase, and they are still doing great! It still takes a little effort to close, but it's no longer falling on me.
