Although you can spend much more money on earphones, these are still not really cheap, but its fair to say you could spend double the money and these would still be a better option, so they do punch above their weight. and if they do break ive not broke the bank for these and can easily buy some more. i also like the colour too, not too flashy but colourful in red. my only complaint is the wires are a bit shiny, nothing bad really, but remind me of strawberry laces at times. which is not good!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was disappointed at first! *by J***H on 6 August 2015* I now take it all back. Well, most of it. Having lived with these earphones for a few days, I'm actually rather happy with them.I had a pair of E10 (no S) earphones which lasted about 20 months, but one day I lost sound out of the left ear; the wire connection to the jack had obviously broken because I could kind-of get sound back by twisting it hard. So I plumped for these because I like the idea of the control switch.When they came, I saw the A-B option switch (for switching phone brand settings), and was *stunned* at how awful and plasticky looking it was. I mean, this thing looks like it's from a pair of Β£5 headphones from the 80s. As I fiddled with the switch, the audio through my ears was crackling in and out. Ugh!!But, since I don't touch that switch on a day-to-day basis, I thought I'd run the earphones for a few days before passing judgement. Firstly, the quality is pretty darn nice again... Probably slightly cleaner still than the older E10s. Bass is still meaty, pure and basically just awesome for the price. Top ends are probably a bit cleaner than before. Secondly, the angled jack at the end feels nicer, and probably saves the cable from being yanked directly from a socket, thereby hopefully making it more robust than the previous model. I'm assuming this was their reason for changing it, so I'll go with that. And finally, the control switch works really nicely... I would've loved a volume control, but even without the play/pause control is really handy. Since I am on an iPhone, it can also do fast-forward/rewind as well as control Siri, in the same way the Apple EarPods work. I've yet to test the microphone except when using Siri, so at least I know it works, even if I don't know what the sound quality is like... Although that doesn't bother me because I barely use my phone to make phone calls. I know, right...One other thing worth pointing out... I find these earphones are very slightly quieter than the plain E10s. This was another worry because I wanted to be able to punch my music out at a decent level on the tube, or in the gym. I'm guessing they've prioritised quality over volume, and although I sometimes find myself pushing the iPhone volume level up to full, I don't feel as though I'm missing anything louder. Plug them into a MacBook Pro, and these earphones still blast at full volume.
