Ordered a 1m version of this RJ45 to RJ11 cable as suitable in this case (it was described as being designed for just this sort of circumstance in the 'blurb' and one of the previous reviewers had described its use in similar circumstances to mine) and sure enough, plugging one end of it into the left-hand (RJ45 / 'Ethernet') socket on the front / wall plate and the other into the RJ11 socket on the ADSL Modem / Wireless Router pretty quickly resolved my problem - I had a 'Broadband' connection to the Internet! These converters converted the RJ45 ends to RJ11 to fit the modem telephone output and the base unit's input. They worked perfectly. I have no crackles, dropouts, and a crystal clear sound. I am delighted with these. My only negative is that I do not live in the UK since delivery costs for Brexit are horrendous. Even when buying from European desertcart sites, the delivery charges are as high as those from the UK.
