The leash is nice quality genuine leather and very soft upon arrival. There's a slight smell of leather wax, but nothing comes off on your hands. The leash is strong and flexible, and there's no problem with the clasp. I recommend this as an excellent value for those looking for an attractive, strong leash with no frills, for supervised use (that is, for walking, not for leaving unattended).

These are awesome. I have about six I think. A few in each car and several hanging by the doors. My dogs are great off-leash but it is always nice to have a quick leash available if out and about or going somewhere the environment isn't dog friendly. My dogs go with me most places and these are just great. Also work well for tying down groceries in the back of my volvo :). Also I am not a fan of brads or clamps, I much prefer solid stitching and these are done right.

Great leash, and very "manly". My wife bought a thin black leash, decorated with rhinestones, so everyone thought our little Tucker was a girl! So, I had to solve that problem right away - don't need him to have any gender dysphoria issues (which seems highly contagious these days). Now, most people still initially think he's a girl (his long eye-lashes and little booties, probably), but I know he feels a lot more boyly with this He-Man leather attached!
