That's an accurate way to understand what these bags actually do. I've used another brand and had CO2 levels above 1000ppm. I haven't tried these. The conflicting answers, especially that you need a "tank"(which can be dangerous in a small area, unless everything's dialed in. CO2 bags I've used have been pre activated, so they're at least halfway growing down into the bag. At it's peak, the brand I used was totally white, which was the mushroom growth (there was even quite a bit of the "mycelium packet", that you seperate on your own in their "self activated" bags) WITH THOSE BAGS, THEY GET YELLOWISH, THEN OTHER, DARKER COLORS WHEN THEY'RE TOTALLY USED. **Q: I have a 5x5x80” with 8 autos how many would I need for this application?** A: I'm running 3 in a 4x4x78". I have one bag, Idk what my ppm levels, but I believe my plants love it. just hang it opposite of where your exhaust is located. hope this helps **Q: are you supposed to pull the tab off?** A: Tab stays on. I am seeing around a 200 PPM boost in a 4 x 4 tent. That is 50% more CO2 than natural air.
