The plastic it is made of REEKS like toxic fumes! YUCK!!!! :-(I actually bought this set specifically for the bacon and it doesn't look as much like the picture because the "white" part of the bacon is actually clear, so I believe the bacon looks different in the picture because it's laying on a white background. :-/Over all, this is just more plastic to one day add to our landfills... Ugh. I guess they sell these sets for learning purposes or something... I purchased it to add to my son's play kitchen we are giving him for Christmas. They food is MUCH larger than the dish set which accommodates his play kitchen.I also don't like how the "milk" and "OJ" glass can't be emptied out... The plastic piece inside of them is permanent. Oh... and the pad of butter you see on the pancake/toast/etc is a separate plastic piece all on it's own, which sits on whatever you want it to. It doesn't seem to have a great way to stay on the food you put it on... no locking-in-place type of design.
