It uses non shatter styrene instead of glass but once you install your picture and hang it up you wont really be able to tell the difference. The frame even though is MDF has a nice finish that doesn't look or feel cheap. The frame looks good and makes your pictures and artwork look even better on display.The frame does have a decent build quality, it feels fairly sturdy, strong and durable. However do not expect premium quality. I think if you stick in some nice art work this could make a nice inexpensive gift. Overall it is a good product for what it is, and its price makes it even better value for money. I definitely recommend this frame.
