## Questions & Answers

**Q: can the plastic wips be replaced or do u need a new head**
A: The nylon/plastic whips are easily replaced. You can purchase replacements made by the manufacturer (see product manual) or use 0.105 inch nylon whip in bulk sold for grass/weed trimmers in Home Depot or other such stores.  My store did not have this exact size in stock so I purchased a heavier gauge line.  A heavier gauge line will reduce the number of strands that can fit in the head.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Is there a standard style brush that attaches to the rods? My chimney cap is a smaller diameter than my chimney. The whip does not clean the cap.**
A: The RCH205-B uses only the whip line.  You might consider using the SLK-24 which is good for use with stainless chimney pipe.

**Q: I need at least 30' of rod. Are these rods okay at that leangth if I purchased more than 1 kit?**
A: At, 30 feet I would be very careful and go slow until you get a good feel for the brush ,I would be leery about hitting the top of your chimney and jamming the brush and it will break if it gets stuck. Plus the hassle of then removing the brush. Light buildup would not be a problem but if you get the hard chunks of creosote I would be very careful.

**Q: Has any one used this on a free standing wood stove?  I was wondering if the rods bend that much and still use a drill?**
A: Agree with the other responses that it will work if the angle of the bend is not too sharp. Also the drill needs to be powerful enough, better with a corded drill than a battery powered drill.
