**Q: Want to use for canning, also. How tall is the pot? Will pint and quart mason jars fit upright?**
A: There was a time when canning using pressure cookers was deemed a safe method of preserving.  However, since 2006 Presto has not provided information for canning in pressure cookers.  The information used to support canning in pressure cookers was based on research done in the late 1970's.  The current recommendation from the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that to pressure can you will need to use a vessel that is specially a pressure canner, which holds at minimum four quart-size jars.  Note that pressure canners are generally 12-quart size or larger. **Q: Can you use this pressure cooker on an induciton cooktop?**
A: All of our current stainless steel pressure cookers are compatible with an induction stovetop.  Always check with your stove manufacturer to make sure that pressure cooking is acceptable on it. **Q: If this always cooks at 15 psi, does it work ok for every type food?**
A: All of our current pressure cookers come with a 15 pound regulator.  All recipes that are located in the instruction/recipe booklet that came with your cooker are for 15 pounds of pressure.  If you have questions regarding a particular food that is not listed in the booklet, you can certainly call our Customer Service Department as we would be happy to assist you. **Q: In which country is this pressure cooker made?**
A: The  8-quart Presto Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker is manufactured in China, nevertheless it is an incredebly good pressure cooker. I use it at least once a week, but most times I use it twice a week and I am extremely happy with it. Jose I. Ferreiro
