**Q: Can this mushroom powder be eaten raw? Or is it really just for cooking?**
A: Hello, never try it raw, but for cooking it is good, enhances all the flavors and give you a delicious aftertaste.

**Q: Question for manufacturer: are these shiitake mushrooms grown on oak logs?**
A: Not sure about that... but it is a really rich mushroom powder. I really love the porcini better... more flavorful!!

**Q: Is this made from fruiting bodies or mycelium or both? If both what are the percentages of each?**
A: I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that I was unaware of any flavor whatsoever when using this product.

**Q: Is the mushrrom powder already cooked mushrooms?**
A: No.  It's the raw mushroom, dried, then powdered.

Seriously adds umami to any dish. I added a little to my noodle stirfry and everyone was amazed!! Worth it! Great for vegans to add depth to dishes!

I had high hopes for this considering the price, but when using on steaks did not notice a noticeable taste difference.It is very good in scrambled eggs but will change the color of your eggs slightly.
