The S fits my kid perfectly, not tight at all, while the M is flipping huge on him - it falls off his butt. According to Kanga Care's website, these are made for 18-40lbs and I just couldn't imagine the S not covering a range of 7lbs or so like I needed for my kid. Glad I got the S.Other than sizing, this is a very high quality product and does its job of absorbing small leaks when my training toddler doesn't stop himself from peeing before realizing it. Haven't used for over night yet, as he's not quite there in his progress (and generally pees a butt load at night), so I can't say anything to that.All around, it's perfect for our purposes - catching a bit while our toddler gets used to holding his bladder.
