Material seems to be good quality. Very minimal water loss at the connection site. I usually leave the hose in my garden for about 60 to 90 mins every day. Everything is usually evenly watered. I recommend stretching the hose out and leave it in the sun for few hours when you first get it. I feel that sun bathing it make the hose more pliable. There is no way to repair this that I can see, so the whole hose is a loss.
