Tin Roof Treasure 1 Quart resealable bag of fresh Mood Moss (Species Dicranum Scoparium, aka "Broom" or "Frog" Moss) is a great addition to your shade garden, bonsai, terrarium , fairy garden, or all on it's own in a pot or dish. Harvested fresh daily from the forest of Maine. Beautiful and lush, this moss is easy to care for. When dry, it appears as tight green wisps or "curls", once watered, it becomes wavy, silky and lush. It thrives in shady conditions and will "sunburn" if exposed to regular direct sunlight. Moss will arrive in tufts/clumps and can easily be broken up into smaller pieces as needed. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long will this moss keep if not planted right away? How should it be stored?**
A: I kept mine in moist paper towels, wrapped in plastic wrap until I could plant it.  I think it was about 2 weeks. It did fine.

**Q: Does this moss grow well with very little natural light? I.e. in a dorm space with very little sunlight from the windows.**
A: I believe it does, mine is outdoors at the base of a tree trunk that is growing branches all around it, it now looks like a bush, but my moss is still alive.

**Q: Can this be used for a bonsai tree?**
A: Depends on what you mean, as a substrate prob not. Bonsai have pretty specific requirements. Generally akadama and specific bonsai soil. 

But it would work great for a cover over the dirt, or maybe when you're getting seeds to hatch

**Q: Could you give an approximate size in inches to help me visualize how much area this will cover? Thanks!**
A: Hello!
 The dimensions of the quart sized bag are 6"x9", so it should cover at least that much space- likely more once it's "fluffed out". Hope this helps!
