It began peeling at the connection point during unpacking. *by M***D on Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2019* The tape began to come off around the connection point just trying to assemble it. It's plastic with a metallic tape on it. I am new to hoops and it may perform well. I am doing as described and letting it sit flat for 24 hours. But I was disappointed at it being basically a plastic tube with metallic tape that peeled so easily. It may be fine for hooping, but for >45 bucks I thought it would be..I don't know. 45x better than the dollar ones at walmart. It IS heavier so I will see how it works for my class. I have sealed the place where the peeling began with some electrical tape and hope that keeps any further issues from happening.
