I was able to get them to work with some slightly thicker gauge than what they are rated for by stripping the wires. However, I wanted to splice in some lights on my car and I could not get these to clamp down on the car wires. That wire gauge must have been 16-18. They will probably work better on the suggested gauge size. When I pressed down to close the clamp it did work, but then it would just open up again ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy connectors *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2019* Easy to use, connection made the first time on 18g wire. Haven't tried it on 22g yet. Reusable. I tried to use again with a test run and worked well.
