It does not leak, it keeps my hot drinks hot for hours and it kept a cold slushy drink cold for 5 hours. It flows out of the mouthpiece perfectly whereas with other cups you sometimes end up wearing your drink! Even if your drink is piping hot the outside is comfortable to hold.
