Razor sharp edge, 10" cutting blade w/30 degree angle. Rosewood handle with brass ferrules and leather sheath to protect blade. made in Pakistan of very high quality. Actual item may slightly vary in handle color and size then picture shown. Review: Dull as a butterknife - I never expect to be able to use a tool straight from the manufacturer because they all come in varying degrees of dullness. But wow, this one was really special! I spent some number of hours flattening the back and eventually just had to accept a few dips here and there as long as it was flat behind the edge. Then... the working edge. ooh boy! It came at some angle approaching 50 degrees. It had been so poorly set up it looked nearly serrated. I worked on THAT for a few hours starting with extra coarse diamond stone going up to 13K waterstone. Cut paper like no ones business but still just bounced off the cedar tree I was trying to shape. I eventually took it to a professional sharpener to hone it closer to 25 or 30 degrees, repeated the latter half of the sharpening process ( I only asked the pro to re-hone but not sharpen as I don't have a wheel) and BAM it was a cuttin' fool! Value for money? The guy only charged me $7.00 to rework the blade but I probably spent 6 or 7 hours trying to save the original steel and another hour or so sharpening the new edge. I'll let you decide. Once it's sharp it feels good and cuts like a champ. But get ready for some prep work.
