When my intex pump that came with a sand filter went out, I went with this pump. It comes with 2" PVC connectors for both in and out ends of the pump. My intex hoses were 1.5" so found some rubber 1.5" to 2" couplers at the hardware store for $5 ea. The power cord is about 2 feet long so had to use an extension cord to reach my power outlet. Once you plug it in, the pump primes itself and starts quietly pumping. As far as I can tell, there is no power button, just plug it in. I suppose you could attach a timer to it. The strainer basket in the pump is easy to clean, I just take it out and spray with a garden hose. When I started using this pump my 18x9 pool was swamp green from sitting over the winter. After 3 days of running this pump the water was clear and sparkly. I'm definitely happy with this pump and expect it should last several years. ### ⭐ Not nearly the output as stated *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2019* I bought this motor to replace my "old"motor because I wanted more output for my sand filter and solar heater. The Specs listed Head Max: 7.5m which is double of what I needed. I believed I was going from 2500GPH at .35HP to a superior 4080GPH at .8HP. This thing could not even match the output of the old pump through the sand filter alone. Purchased another pump rated 2400GPH at .75 HP and put it in today. I have my solar heater, sand filter, and fountain running again. With all three running still have more output through filter than this pump could manage just running the filter alone(new sand was put in for the first swap). Looks like it will be a backup, just in case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far so good! *by N***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2019* I bought this pump to replace the one that was hooked up to my sand filter. The model I bought DID have a plug. It was easy to set up, easy to get running, and after using it for almost 2 weeks, I am quite happy with it. It pumps plenty of water, and is not very loud at all.
