The soap gave a really thick and creamy lather after working it up and performed great, gave great slickness and cushioning and left my skin feeling smooth in the post shave feel. Due to the sloped sides it's difficult to lather with a large brush and pushes most of it into the knot.This is much wider so you can actually direct the soap/cream to the centre of the bowl and because it's so much wider I can get a good lather which is quickly agitated by the raised rings in the base.
