The light indicating that its on NEVER stays. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been ironing and thought that it was surely time to refill it, but nope. Today it just died - no warning, no anything. I abuse my irons - I sew and fuse lots of interfacing so my irons gets messed up. I usually wind up dropping the iron and ruining it. This iron just died - D-E-A-D. If you are looking for a reliable iron - avoid this one.UPDATE! I found out that there was a warranty on this iron. after a couple of emails to amazon and Martison, the company sent me brand new iron. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Although I did purchase another iron, I will use the new martison as my backup.
