The hardened chromium plated steel shaft is precision ground and polished for superior corrosion resistance and leak free sealing. The self cleaning piston assembly automatically opens during each compression cycle to keep the orifice clear of fluid contaminants and provide smoother operation and reliable performance. Most units also utilize StrongArm's patented temperature compensation module valve which ensures consistent operation even in extreme weather conditions. It does so by compensating for normal gas pressure changes caused by temperature variations. The metallic upper bushing is manufactured with bearing quality precision to provide exact fit with piston rod and promote a long operating life.

SUPER easy to install and way cheaper than we were quoted from the dealer for a replacement set! These snapped right on my 2011 Pathfinder and work perfectly! They open the hatch all the way and hold it open without being hard to close which is a problem I had heard about some replacement struts. Will buy these again if I ever need to replace again!

    No More Knocks On The Head

Not being mechanically inclined I was skeptical on installing this myself. I was pleasantly surprised! It was easy enough to take the old Lift Supports off (watched a youtube vid) and installing the new ones were a SNAP literally!  I no longer have the my suv's liftage fall down on me. Easy peazy!My SUV also has a rear window on the liftgate that uses smaller lift supports as well, got a set of those too. Even easier to install if that's possible and working great!Don't endure more knocks on the head and get these now!

At first these showed a lot of promise. They held it up and did it very well. it was nice as well because even though they were new it didnt cause my lift gate to launch up and break my face. unforunately, I am already finding less than 8 months later that it doesnt always hold the gate completely open. Or at least that it wont completely open on its own. It holds it at the top on its own just fine. but the issue is that I have to push it the last few inches. which are very important because thats the difference between me breaking my skull or not.
