Includes a 0.4mm nozzle. 0.3mm nozzles available.The Aluminum Hotend from 3D Industries resolves the most common problems with 3D Printing and is the perfect balance of technologies to help you create successful prints. The all metal body can handle the stress of being repeatedly heated up to 245 C without swelling and cracking like plastic bodied hotends, but also has a PTFE liner to allow filament to slide effortlessly to the nozzle. PEEK hotends can fail when the PTFE liner swells from excessive heat. The PTFE liner can push the barrel out of the PEEK tube, forcing the heater block and nozzle to literally fall off the printer, or cracking the PEEK body, causing leaks and clogs.All metal hotends eliminate the PTFE tube which makes them immune to damage from swelling, but suffer when heat creeps up the metal body from the heater block. The body can overheat causing filament to liquify too early and jam. 3D Industries rose to the challenge by designing a metal bodied hotend with a PTFE liner. The PTFE liner serves as a non stick surface that your filament can glide over. In fact, PTFE is the same material used in most non stick frying pans. By replacing the PEEK with an aluminum body and using a strong steel barrel that the PTFE cannot force out, 3D Industries has eliminated the biggest causes for hotend failure and jams all in one stroke.
