That being said, I'll admit that I had a face-palm moment when it arrived and I started reading it to my 7-year-old, because it IS a book filled with pictures of dead bodies. Well, duh! I had a moment where I felt bad about it, but honestly, my 7-year-old has loved reading it with me and it's sparked so many awesome questions and conversations. Review: A great book - A terrific book and series. Great photographs, and well presented information. I bought it for my sixth grader to use for a history paper, and my second grader is just as interested in looking at it! Only disappointment is the CD Rom that comes with it.. it is just a series of photos, that are in the book. Would be better if it was an educational video with narration. Great overview poster with bite-size information included. I really loved being able to read this book again (After having borrowed it from the local library). And this time, it came with a little extra bonus! Very nice. The only thing it did not mention was the Tocharian Mummies.
