A: Whole chicken as one piece can not be placed in it.  You have to cut it in smaller portions to fit in the grills ... grill is long and wide enough to hold full chicken at one time but in pieces...

Yes, you can fit a butterflied chicken but you have to keep the lid opened. You can place the chicken in the net and keep it on fire and toss the chicken.

Love the build quality. Only flaw I saw was absence of wood on the side from where u hold. Possibly cost cutting. But still a good buy.
