I like the fact that the words are written for each picture. Sometimes other communication aide just have the photo with no words. Reading is important for my aphasic and dyslexic patients that have had strokes or TBI. Reading can stimulate verbal speaking skills, helps with motor planning pathways and word finding for speaking spontaneously. I have one patient that has a Lingraphica Tablet but really was glad to see something that was not electronic just to keep around the house to look at without worrying so much with the fuss of technology.
