This caused an intense amount of breakage. And a lot of frustration. I bought this pillow case along with some cheaper 'satin' like pillow cases to save my hair. This was by far the best of all three purchased for comfort, washability, and keeping my hair smooth and soft. The like satin pillow cases catch easily on dry skin. The real silk and real satin do not catch. They also remain cool while you sleep. This pillow case tucks into itself to keep the pillow inside the case. The color is rich and has stayed well through washing. I have gentle cycled them in a lingerie bag with Woolite. Really, the improvement in my hair has been incredible.
