It's hooked up to my scepter monitor via hdmi and hooked up to my USB on the laptop. All I need this cable to do is extend my display. And it doesn't. **Q: Is there some specific driver required for this to work?** A: No driver required. **Q: If I connect my camera to pc will the pc use it as a webcam** A: I have a Mac. It didn't work for my computer to TV. But that may be because of the other things plugged into my TV. So I won't be requesting a refund. This product shouldn't appear though when you search for usb to hdmi converters. This product is such a ridiculous idea it did not occur to me that I'd need to investigate the description. It's like buying a car but the description says the only thing that works on the car is the cigarette lighter. Sure you could charge your phone off the cigarette lighter, but why on earth would you do that when you could just buy a power bank?The same is true of this cable. Sure, you could use this cable to charge something if you have an abundance of hdmi ports and a lack of usb ports, but if you need more usb ports why wouldn't you buy a usb hub for a cheaper price? Why wouldn't you just buy a wall charger or power strip?At the end of the day, I messed up and didn't read the product description.
