This carrier feels soft and hopefully the expansion option will keep his calm enough for the ride home. My older cat, who also isn't a huge carrier fan, has already used it as a bed a couple times, which gives me hope. The frame feels very sturdy and there is a solid board in the bottom, so it definitely won't collapse on your pet. All he did was pull a little at the mesh and the zipper seperated. The bottom isn't hard so the cat has nothing stable to stand on when being carried. The only good thing about it is it's expandable.
