I’ve been thru all the L’ange Wands and I just haven’t been overly excited about one of them yet. So I conducted my own test. I have the thickest head of hair. Ask my hairdresser who has to clear an entire afternoon for me. I ordered this $26.99 Titanium Wand from desertcart and it did a better job on my stubborn hair than any of the L’ange wands have. It also did not burn me as it has a tapered barrel and you aren’t fighting to get your hair wrapped around it. I have scars from my Ondule!! It took me maybe 20 min total to put a beach wave in, and I didn’t have to hold the wrapped hair as long, maybe 10 seconds each wrap. With the Ondule I was having to hold 20+ sec just to get a slight wave. I also love that it has a little stand, your wand isn’t just sitting on the cabinet trying to burn your house down. Pretty pleased with this less than $30 purchase. 👍🏻 Review: Too thick - The wand part was much thicker than I was expecting. It was nearly 1.25 inches at the base and nearly 1 inch at the end. The curls are small enough to hold a defined curl but not so small that they can't be brushed out for a more casual look. The only issue with this wand is that there is no way to lower or raise the temperature. The handle doesn't heat up at all while using it.
