The Jasc company was purchased by Corel years ago and Corel changed Paint Shop Pro to a program more designed for photo editing than image creation. I don't need to create graphics often enough to justify the cost of the expensive image creation software available today. I was happy to find this software on desertcart. The Paint Shop Pro by Jasc allows the user to create, edit, even animate, original images for web, print, publishing, etc. This version also has some great photo editing tools which earlier versions of Paint Shop did not have. This program is a bit complicated to use to it's fullest capablities, but that's because this is something professional graphic artists could use. The upside is that even without using the masks, skins, and other professional features, you can create and edit both images and photographs with a little practice. Many of the tools are common with other photo and graphic software so even a beginner can use this program. As you continue to discover the capabilities of the program the value of the program and quality of the images you create will only increase. It is an amazing program and I wouldn't want anything else especially not some upgraded nightmare that takes years to learn. I guess it works on 7 also. **Q: Is jasc paint shop pro compatible with windows 10?** A: I have not tried it on windows 10, but I have been able to run it on Windows 8.1. I dont think there should be any issues with windows 10, if you run it in compatibility mode. **Q: Does the old version work with Windows 10? Thanks in advance** A: My computer is on 8.1, so I don't know about 10. I have only two gripes about PSP on 8.1. First, I can't install all my plugins . . . some but not all. And second, when you go to the Print Multiple screen, there is one invaluable tool missing: the one that controls the sizes of your pictures on screen. That tool also hooks up with the one that sets several important parameters for the printer. To get the latter,, you have to use another Print tool. In general I find JASC PSP 7 extremely helpful in managing pictures onscreen since you can put up the same image severa times at once to compare and contrast them. So all in all, I would highly recommend this program; but you'll want a few others like Krita, Painter, and Art Rage for some of the great tools and brushes that are virtually impossible to emulate in PSP 7. **Q: Does it work on laptops?** A: It most certainly does. I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop, i3, 64-bit Windows 10 Home - no issues. Don't even have to 'Run compatibility' etc. The only minor issue is, sometimes, too many 'Undo's' can lead to 'crash', but this is very rare and, as always, you should always be saving your work as you go just in case. But, again, this is minor - no issues whatsoever. I've been using PSP7 for a long time, since Win95/98/XP days and haven't used any other GFX software since.
