How does it work?** A: Go to a builders store ( Menards, Home Depot,ECT) they have cheap kits there. Look at the instructions and return it or open and take a picture. **Q: Do I need special pliers to get an existing snap apart** A: I get the "female" portion of the snap apart by using a drill bit slightly bigger than the rivet ID and drilling it out.
