They allow me to pull the stuck hairs out easily when I want to do a brush clean-up. I soak them in a hot water/vinegar/baking soda solution and they're back to being clean and sterilized for future use. Well made and I am totally happy with the merchandise. Lightweight in your hand, and the bristles do a great job of lifting the hair so it dries quickly.
