Review: Excellent performance and quality - Would never have believed how good it works! I was able to make contacts via the ISS with this on my Baofeng uv-5r and only 5 watts. Love the build quality, the captive Velcro strap, the rubber gasket to seal the antenna connector and the stubby base you can leave on (just unscrew the folding part). For 6 bucks, this is incredible! Every baofeng user should get one! Only regret: should I have gotten the orange one for a buck more??.....lol!

Would never have believed how good it works! I was able to make contacts via the ISS with this on my Baofeng uv-5r and only 5 watts. Improved reception with the ABBREE ant by at least 2 s units on a Wouxon dual band HT compared to the Wouxun factory antenna. Reception on FM broadcast band, Air band, and NOAA all came in noticeably stronger and more clear. 2 meter repeaters boomed in as well as expected. I then tried the ABBREE ant on 4 different Baofeng UV-5R transceivers. The reception improvement (if any) wasn't noticeable. The Wouxun and Baofeng UV-5R transceivers were tested within minutes of each other with the ABBREE Ant at the same location under the same conditions. Still not a bad antenna and was not as unwieldy as I had imagined. The price is also very good at <$7.00 here in the USA.
