After looking at solutions for her to do it- these clips and the additional tool made it easy for her to apply the lights to the fascia board - all from the ground! Bit of a learning curve to get the coordination of pressing on and releasing on taller spots. We broke 3 on the entire run- VERY HAPPY WIFE. Telescoping applicator rod and these clips are EXCELLENT!!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How were you able to get the next clip onto the pole when it was hanging 6 feet above your head?**
A: That’s impossible but this is what I do after I got the lights started. If I’m putting them on shingles I attach one to the pole. Then kind of pick up the lights using the end that slides under the shingle. The lights cord will slide down to the corner by the 2.6 in the picture. Then slide the clip on the shingle and keep going. If I’m doing gutters I slide the wire in by hand to the small clip. Then attach it to the pole and slide onto the gutter. Then I repeat the process to the next reachable area. You might have a sag in between but then I’ll just go back and add one. Instead of trying to clip them in the little hook I just attach a clip, then pull the wiring into the same corner you use when attaching it to shingles. It’s not the best but it makes reaching over bushes and the peaks of a two story house possible. I use regular clips where I can reach. Sorry if those instructions are hard to follow.

**Q: in the video it says it comes with the clamp extension as well, is that true?**
A: I must have the cheap model, the head don't come off at all and I didn't receive a clamp extension. I didn't watch the video so I wasn't aware of this feature and had I known I probably would have returned this one for the better one. That would have made things better but as is it works great and saved me some time putting up the lights.

**Q: Around here everyone has tile roofs. Does it clip onto those?**
A: We have a tile roof, but these clip onto the facia boards directly under the tiles.

**Q: How do you use this to take *down* the lights at the end of the season?**
A: Since I couldn’t figure out how to get the lights up, can’t help you. I thought it was a waste of $$
