Happily the vendor addressed my several questions promptly and helpfully. This looks different from the paddles being used by the other women. It is thicker and has a smoother face. It is nice and light weight and has a zipper case to protect it between matches. Now I just need to develop my accuracy skills to equal the power of this paddle. 2nd thoughts a year later.... This paddle has no grip on a damp ball. It's just fine when dry, but one of the great benefits of platform tennis is that you can play even though there is some dampness about. I've just ordered a new paddle with "killer grit" on it. Have fun, play often and hard! Review: though if you are going to play seriously I recommed you buy a better one.
