Thanks!** A: I didn't put a mute in mine to see how it would hold. However, the configuration of the bell is the same as a regular trumpet except shorter. I've never seen a special mute for a pocket trumpet, so I believe a regular one would fit. **Q: Does this come with a case** A: Yes it does. It is a very nice ridged case that is form fitted and nicely padded on the inside. The case is only slightly larger than the trumpet. In addition to the handle, there is a shoulder strap also included. Inside, there is a holder for one mouthpiece and a small indention that will just fit a small bottle of oil. It has a small pocket on the outside, (about 6" x 5" x 1") that will hold a cleaning rag or a couple of CD's. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice little horn *by R***N on April 13, 2013* I love this little horn. It doesn't seem possible that such a big sound could come from a pocket trumpet, but it does. There are places in the range where sound control requires more concentration, but over all everything is just fine. I plan to take it along for inevitable hours in airports. A practice mute won't fit into the case, but will go elsewhere.Btw-I saved around $100 by getting this through Amazon rather from other sellers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A pleasant surprise *by D***R on December 6, 2018* I am mainly a cornet and flugelhorn player but wanted to round out the trifecta with a trumpet. I generally find trumpets to be too loud and brassy so I wanted something 'fun' to play around with. I tend to over-research my purchases and that led me to this pocket trumpet. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of this little horn. For a Chinese made horn this is remarkably well made. I had read some reviews that the valves were a bit sticky but I have found the opposite to be true. I put a couple of drops of valve oil on each valves upon opening the box and a week later the valves are still lightning fast and whisper quiet. As another reviewer noted there is a bit more backpressure on some notes (due to the extra bends in the tubing) but nothing you won't adjust to after a few hours of practice. The black nickel finish is quite lovely as well. Very pleased, highly recommend. Being a bit realistic with four star rating, this is not a Bach-Strad but if you are in the market for a pocket trumpet, this is the one to have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small but mighty! *by K***R on January 7, 2014* This is a beautiful instrument!
