I'm tired of dragging the apparatus and towels across the counter tops. Enough! ### ⭐⭐ Great paper towel holder, but has major design flaw where base splits apart and rusts. *by A***K on June 17, 2017* This was wonderful until it wasn't... I got this for our new home two years ago after having the wall mount version at our old home. I loved the wall mount one. This one was great at first. I set it near the sink, where one would usually keep paper towels. The tiny drips of water that fell onto the stainless steel caused it to rust and bust apart within only a couple months. The steel base was split open about every inch, all the way across the bottom leaving maybe 20 splits in the base, all covered in rust. It was jagged and super dangerous. I kept on using it because it was functional, but I finally tossed it and replaced it with a different one that looks more promising on the design. Not sure what caused stainless steel to bust to pieces and rust, but it's totally not cool. If you're not planning to use this anywhere near water, it's a great, sturdy holder. It held every brand and size roll of paper towels I tried!
