I don't see this as much of an issue, however, because the rivets were easy to remove and re-install in order to remove the return loop. I also wear these belts on a regular basis, even when not carrying. I consider them nice enough to wear even in semi-formal occasions. I have always been on the "thicker" side of the buffet of life and it's been a life long struggle to get rid of my PC ( plumbers crack). I have a body made more for the toga then pants.
