Review: Best Tires On The Market - I've been riding on Drifters for the past few years and have never had a problem. The Drifter with FPS (Flat Protection System) is one of the best tires on the market, esp for the price. On this particular purchase I bought 2 new tires for $31/ea and saved over $20 because they were offered in "Like New" condition, both were brand new AND arrived early (nice work desertcart!) The inverted tread gives the best of both worlds with a slick, fast ride on pavement/hard pack and good traction on gravel, sand and light trail conditions. They perform well on wet surfaces as well. They're fast, quiet, and provide plenty of grip on the streets and light trails in San Diego. They look great on my bike and feel great too! They're also very durable and prevent flats in situations where other tires I've ridden on would not. Installation can be tricky but I've learned that if you inflate your tubes a little prior to installing it helps set the wire bead much easier bcuz they're very sturdy tires on and off the rim. I used to ride on Continental Town & Country's but they started making that model in India instead of Germany and the quality was no longer there, esp on the sidewalls. The Serfas Drifters are a superior replacement and I haven't found another tire that comes close. I ride at 55psi and put approx 6000 miles on my last set with plenty of tread left. Hands down the best tire on the market, imho.
Review: Roll Rapid & Slip Seldom - So my situation is that I'm not really a bike person, but lo and behold, when I found myself without a car, I started looking for a specific type of bike tire that would meet the needs of my unique situation and here they are! I was living in a very rural part of Hawai'i and needed a setup I could ride relatively long distances (mostly on pavement) but also on very rough, jagged and slippery lava cinder roads (10% of the time). I settled on a used hardtail and these tires. They are great because they are heavy and so roll fast, almost like road bike tires. The center has a pavement strip or whatever it's called, but it's completely flat in the center of the tire so the energy loss is minimal contrary to what you would experience from knobby tires. At the same time, you get a unique traction that isn't quite as good as knobbies, but is pretty close. Again, the rubber is thick, so you won't bust a sidewall and you have the traction where you need it, on the SIDES. You can turn and maneuver without worry on gravel-type roads (I don't know how many people know what it's like to ride on volcanic cinder, so that's my closest comparison). These tires for me were a wonderful balance and compromise between road tires and knobbies. My riding wasn't for fun, but for going to work and getting groceries. I didn't ride too much, probably not more than 40 miles a week, but when I did the demands of the tires was high. I only used these for about 8 or 9 months, so I can't speak too much about longevity, but I can say that I literally noticed NO WEAR AT ALL on the tires while averaging 40 miles a week, so I felt happy about that. Like any new tire, you will definitely have to get a feel for them once you put them on your bike, especially with turns and other technical maneuvers. I highly recommend them, just not for mud. OH! I should probably mention that I hope you have some good fenders cause these will cause quite a splash. Trying to ride them in the rain, even with riding glasses, was challenging with no fenders. Happy riding!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tire!!
*by R***E on August 1, 2019*

I was looking for a change from my factory knobby tires, to a tire that was more conducive to road riding. I purchased the 29X2.0 size and I put these tires on a 2015 Specialized Carve Pro. Most of my off road riding now is on hard packed dirt/sand or crushed stone (rails to trails), and commuting back and forth to work. The tires were very easy to install and they look great on the bike. I took a 30 mile ride and here are the 3 top things I noticed: 1) QUIET RIDING!! I didn't realize how noisy knobby tires were. It was nice cruising along and hearing nothing but the breeze and nature sounds. 2) Compared to knobby tires, there is FAR LESS resistance and I was able to do 30 miles easily. Very comfortable ride. I also took the bike onto crushed stone and loose dirt and was very comfortable on those surfaces as well. 3) The center of this tire is harder for better rolling resistance. It makes for a very "cushy" ride. I took some corners pretty hard and fast and they seem to corner very well also.
