Took him half an hour.Then we found that the remote control doesn’t work at all, so that’s useless.And the worst thing about them is there’s no way to set them to stay on continuously!! There’s one setting that is continuous for about ten minutes, and then it flashes on and off once (or sometimes twice!) before staying on another ten minutes and flashing again... repeat. That flash every ten minutes is jarring and annoying. I wanted a soothing soft continuous light, but when it flashes, it makes me jump. That’s not soothing. The other settings are mostly hyper-flashing seizure-inducing types of settings. We finally settled on the setting where it slowly comes up and then slowly goes back down, but that kind of defeats my purpose of creating a little steady light in the room. But after all the trouble it was to untangle them and install 12 command hooks (not included) to hang them with, I’m not returning them.Lastly, they’re made of cheap clear acrylic, so they look fine from a distance but pretty cheesy close-up.I would not recommend them. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice - if it works! *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2020* Bought 2. Sending that one back. Definitely a jumbled mess and a nightmare to untangle! Would help if each strand were packaged in its own plastic sheath! Almost returned it because after 20-30 minutes of working on it, still had an unimaginable tangled mess! Began believing it might be a hopeless effort! Remote didn’t work either! Turned out battery was dead. Sending back without my new battery! (Wish I had kept the old one for them!) One works better than the other. The stars are cheaply made and cheap-looking, but from afar, they are a-okay. I did not like the hooks addition. However, my biggest frustration is with the remote and its mode set up. In sum, mode set up does not work as described. Instead of having 8 modes (or whatever it was listed), on one of them there are only 3 modes:..lights are constantly on, very fast blinking and slower blinking with some dimming effect. The other one has 2 more options, but not much different from one another.
