BUT IT LOOKS SHARP WHEN ITS DONE. Prep correctly.. light sanding.. wipe it down with acetone to remove the grease, put down a big painters tarp, or paper, or sheet..etc. the overspray is sticky and will not come off what it gets on. I did my whole truck with this, and the bottles n sprayer gun and it looks brand new. **Q: Do i still need to use a primer with this?** A: I think you only need it when you have bare metal. **Q: Does it leave a textured finish?** A: Yes, it leaves a nice shiny pebbled texture. If using on a surface subject to wear and tear, it wouldn't hurt to double coat it as per directions. Be sure to clean gun (if Using) thoroughly with acetone after each bottle. **Q: Would this work well on a skid plate for the front of my 4Runner?** A: Yes, I used the black to do my '93 4Runner front skid plate, the roof rack rails and support bars plus the rear air deflector. I bought this to use on a motorcycle part I built that will be subject to all the stuff the front tire kicks up. I followed the instructions, using the primer first, and it went on just as indicated. The nozzle does form a glob after a little bit of spraying, so watch for that. You can just wipe it to prevent it from dripping. I would estimate you may have to do that a few times per full can of spraying. I was able to coat the part front and back 3 times. That totaled approximately 8 square feet of product used, but the part shape caused a lot of overspray (wasted product), and I still had some left in the can- so, it would cover more than 8 sq ft. The finish was exactly what I hoped for: it looks like the spray-in bed lining in my truck. I haven't subjected the part to a lot of riding yet, so I can't speak to the durability, but it looks great and looks tough as well.
