They're very easy to grab quickly, and I've never burned my hands with anything. The warmest they got was when I made pizza (425 degrees), but that was expected since it says they're heat-resistant up to 450. Good price for 2 mitts. I also used them to make glass brittle - you pull the candy while it's hot to get it extra thin and crisp. These mitts are small enough to get a good grip, but big enough to protect my hands from the hot sugar. I often use them to get things out of the microwave that have handles. Much better than using a glove mitt that's too big or a flat mitt that doesn't grip well. I have small hands and love the size, but my husband can also use them easily (he's a medium). I would say these are not for grabbing large handled pots, but more for things you would normally use your fingers to grab. These are not meant to be used for more than about three seconds at a time.
