I will refer to the kemo m148a in the following response as 148. The 148 max amp rating is 20 amps with the addition of a metal backing plate the can be easily added with a few tools. As shipped the 148 is rated for 10 amps. Remember this is 12 v dc current. Connect appropriate wire and appropriate fuse from battery 12 v + to the 148 and marked battery +. For the battery 12 v - repeat the process except for fuse installation. From 148 load + repeat the process to connect to the device + to be controlled by the by the 148. From 148 load - repeat the previous process. The voltage disconnect range can be adjusted up or down on the 148 marked as switch off adjustment. I had to adjust in very small increments. Turning power off to the battery charge controller and running 148 controlled device (in my case an ice box).
